Email Delivery and Quotas
Because Smart Form Notifications uses your Google account to send alerts, your delivery capacity is governed by Google’s standard infrastructure and daily limits.
1. Understanding Your Quota
Every Google account has a daily "sending budget" for emails sent via add-ons.
Daily Reset
Your quota resets every 24 hours (based on your timezone and Google's schedule).
Shared Limit
This limit is shared across all Google Forms, Sheets, and other add-ons you use.
Real-Time Tracking
View your remaining credits via the progress bar at the bottom of the add-on sidebar.
2. Standard Limits by Account Type
| Account Type | Recipients Per Day (Approx.) |
|---|---|
| Personal Gmail (@gmail.com) | 100 Recipients / Day |
| Google Workspace (Business/Education) | 1,500 Recipients / Day |
3. Ensuring Successful Delivery
Valid Email Addresses
Ensure your form uses email validation to prevent users from entering fake or mistyped addresses that cause 'bounces'.
Avoid Spam Triggers
Keep subject lines clear and avoid excessive 'sales' language (e.g., 'FREE!!!', 'URGENT!!!') that might trigger spam filters.
Sender Reputation
Since emails are sent from your own account, they generally have high deliverability because they come from a trusted source.
4. What Happens if You Run Out?
If you exceed your daily quota, the add-on will stop sending emails until the next reset period.
- A
Check the Execution Logs; quota errors will be labeled as "Failure" with a "Quota Exceeded" message.
- B
Currently, the add-on does not "queue" emails; submissions made at zero quota will not trigger notifications.
